Either we choose to live in bondage, using every ounce of energy to force down the worry, despair, shame, fear, or denial. Or we choose to allow our displaced grief to surface, so we might deal with it bit by bit.

The choice—offered to every person—is to believe God and actively participate in whatever He allows, regardless of what we feel, experience, lose, gain, or see in our human, day-to-day lives.

Difficulties are actually for our good, but we get so angry over hardships, hurts, sorrows, grief, lost dreams, past betrayals, sick children, or chronic pain that we are blinded to the good work God is doing.
